Team 888 Kara Scott on the Live Poker Circuit
888poker Ambassador Kara Scott shared her thoughts about the increasingly popular 888Live events, whilst reflecting on recent changes in the Live poker industry.
“An important issue in the live poker industry today is the discussion of how – or whether - to provide all players (regardless of level) with the same great poker experience.
“From working with 888poker over the past year, I have actually seen first-hand how committed they are to putting their players’ needs at the forefront of the decision-making process. I've long been an advocate for providing great customer service, not just for the pros, but for the recreational and part-time players as well.
In fact, that's one of the reasons I joined the 888 team!
“It's great to see how the industry now seems to be looking for new and better ways to give players that positive sense of fun and belonging in the live arena, and even better that they're listening to what the players want. We're an incredibly diverse bunch, so there's a lot of listening to be done!

Dominik Nitsche’s Take on the Poker Festivals
German pro and 3-time WSOP bracelet winner, Dominik Nitsche, gave us his take on live poker events and the 888Live Festivals:
“The thing I like most about the new 888 events is how they are a complete poker festival with high rollers and side events. Meaning that even if you bust out early from the main event, there is always something else to play!
“When thinking of an 888Live event, I can say the whole vibe around the event is something unique. It feels a lot friendlier, and you can tell that this is an event made for the players to enjoy and not to squeeze every last bit of rake out of them.”

Bruno “Foster” Politano: “The atmosphere in 888Live events is amazing. You can feel that the company is putting the players first, giving them the chance to play with our amazing 888team. I absolutely love the 888Live events in Brazil and will love even more the upcoming in Barcelona! Hahaha.”
Nicolau Villa-Lobos added: “888 tournaments are amazing!! I remember the first one I attended in Mazagan and it still one of my best memories around the globe. We heard from online poker's top all-time money leader Chris “888moorman” Moorman as well: “I think the 888live events are great tournaments for all types of players. They feature a range of buy-ins and a good mix of participants from beginners to seasoned pros. I believe the 888live events have a much more relaxed environment surrounding them at the table as the buy-ins are more affordable for players. As a result, they are much more fun to play in, and everyone at the table manages to have a great time.”

Which events do our ambassadors plan on winning?
Kara: “I'm calling London! I'm going to use Barcelona as my warm up (and absolutely try to take it down). But London feels like home turf to me, and I've done well there in the other two 888poker main events I've played, even coming 3rd in the first I played with an 888poker patch on, so it feels like mine :)”
Bruno Politano: “I will win Barcelona’s for sure - Main Event 1st place :)”
Nicolau Villa-Lobos: “I always had a great connection with Barcelona, this might be the one! Haha!”
Bruno Kawauti: I plan on winning the Main and the High-roller, but probably will spew in the High-roller and win the ME lol.”
Tonka: “If getting a chance I’d love to win the Aspers one in London.”
Natalie: “I think Barcelona is the place with most value for the players.”
