The 888Live Local Series, which launched last year, has quickly established itself as one of the more popular poker tournament circuits in the world with stops on four different continents and 11 countries, including Canada. From June 15-19, 2016, we'll be heading to Montreal for the first 888Live Local event in the region to date.
Prestigious Playground Poker Club
The prestigious Playground Poker Club will play host to the 888Live Local Montreal $550 CAD buy-in. Players will start with 25,000 in chips, play 30-minute levels, and are allowed one re-entry per flight.
"It's great to see 888poker coming to Playground Poker Club," boasted Lane Anderson, Editor of PokerNews Canada. "Canada is one of the greatest poker markets, and 888 has been rapidly growing and proving itself to be one of the greatest online poker rooms.
Now they're making a first-ever live appearance in the country to show Canadians a world-class event. I can't wait to check it out!"
In addition, the stop will feature a four-flight, $135 + $25 buy-in, $100,000 CAD guaranteed, Charity Event. The $25 fee from each entry will go straight to the Starlight Children's Foundation Canada, which has been dedicated to bringing laughter, joy and hope back into the lives of children with serious illnesses through their in-hospital entertainment therapy and out-of-hospital fun family adventure programs for over 20 years.
