Over the past couple years, one thing has become apparent -- the poker community loves festivals, which is why we at 888poker have decided to revamp our live offerings by making them bigger. In addition to 888Live local events, we are proud to introduce 888live festivals, which are more like a celebration of poker. These events are designed to give players a better poker experience. A greater variety of poker tournaments, longer structures, a wider range of buy-ins, and bigger guarantees are some of the things you'll find at every 888Live festivals.
These tournament series will be held at different locations three times a year beginning with our first-ever festival in one of the biggest cities in the world – London. From October 13-23, 888poker will be at Aspers Casino in London for the 11-day 888Live Festival.
The Inaugural 888Live London Festival Kicks Things Off in a Big Way
The 888Live London Festival will be hosted by our Team888 Ambassador, Kara Scott. it is expected to attract the largest prize pool that any of our live events have had to offer.
The stop will feature a wide variety of tournaments – from a £120 Lightening 6-Max to a £2,000 High Roller -- a mega wide range of buy-ins. We estimate the total event prize pool to be over $500,000, while the Opening and Main Events will boast £100,000 and £200,000 guarantees respectively.
The Opening Event, a £220 buy-in, will kick off the festival and feature three starting flights with Days 1a and 1b at 18:00 on Thursday, October 13 and Friday, October 14. Then, on Saturday, October 15, Day 1c will begin at 13:00.
Other events on the schedule include a daily £120 Turbo Mega Deepstack, a £400 Mega Knockout Event on Friday, October 21, and the highly anticipated £880 888Live Festival Main Event from Thursday, October 20 through Sunday, October 23.
