Introducing the 888 Action Clock

The 888Live London Festival marks the first time we’ll be using the 888 Action Clock, which is in line with our new strategy to “Taking Back The Game” for players. Ideally, it will prevent the buzzkill of tanking and encourage a faster-paced gaming environment.

“I’ve always been a fan of the Action Clock, so when 888poker suggested adding it to the Main and the High Roller Events at the Festival I was fully on board,” says John Scanlon, Head of Poker at Aspers Casino. “I’d like to assure everyone coming to play the event that adding the Action Clock is not about putting players under unnecessary pressure; it’s about keeping the game running smoothly and ultimately providing all players involved with a better structure and overall experience. We always put the player at the centre of everything we do at the 888poker Room at Aspers Casino, and we believe that players will really enjoy this addition to our ever-evolving customer offer.”

You Could be a Winner at the 888Live London Festival

Last year, 21-year-old Ka Him Li topped a field of 288 entries to win the 888Live London Festival Main Event for £45,300 after a heads-up deal with Shah Raza. Meanwhile, French player Eric Le Goff triumphed over Tom Middleton in the High Roller for £30,000.

More recently, in May of this year, we were at Aspers London for a special £440 NLHE Easter Edition, which drew 303 entries and created a £121,200 prize pool. Lövgren finished 30th in that tournament for £815, while Moorman placed 13th for £1,580. Meanwhile, Krzysztof Pregowski and Terry Jordon struck a deal heads up with the former ultimately taking the title and £21,118 in prize money.

We’re currently offering round-the-clock satellites for the 888Live London Festival with buy-ins starting at low as 1¢.
