The tenth day of the $7,500,000 XL Inferno Championships played host to another 10 events with buy-ins from $30 up to $5,200. The top end of that was the highly-anticipated Event #!26 $400,000 Super High Roller Chip-In, which attracted some of the biggest names in the game. See below for a recap of that event along with a list of all the Day 10 winners.

spud_gun888 Wins Super High Roller for $186,300

One of the highlights of the entire XL Inferno Championships was Event #126 $400,000 Super High Roller Chip-In, which attracted 121 players that accounted for 41 rebuys. That more than doubled the advertised guarantee by creating an $810,000 prize pool, and also saw $32,400 in fees “chipped in” to REG’s (Raising for Effective Giving) Global Poverty Charity Portfolio.

Not surprisingly some of the biggest names in the game took their shot in the tournament. Among those to play but fall short of the money were Chris “888Moorman” Moorman, Mike “SirWatts” Watson, Dominik “888Dominik” Nitsche, and Adrian “ADRI_ATM” Mateos. Also, coming up short were Doug “DougPolkPKR” Polk and Parker “888tonkaaa” Talbot, who both streamed play on their respective Twitch channels.

Talbot’s demise came in Level 16 (1,750/3,500/400) when he got his stack all in holding the A♦5♦ only to run into the A♠Q♥ of “Ti0373.” The board ran out 9♠5♠Q♠3♦8♥ and that was all she wrote for Talbot.

Some players who managed to cash the event in the top 18 were Alexsandr “Biack88” Trofimov (10th - $18,225), “Bumbi320” (14th - $17,415), and “GreenHullK” (18th - $16,605).

A week prior, Germany’s “Kannwas” made it to heads-up play against Anton “anteen” Bertilsson in Event #36 $2,100 XL Inferno High Roller. He ultimately fell in second place out of 222 players for $85,800. Once again, “Kannwas” made it to the final two, this time against the UK’s “spud_gun888” (UK)

In what would be the final hand of the tournament, the blinds were 15,000/30,000/3,750 and the board read Kx5x7x6x10x. “Kannwas” bet with what turned out to be 10x8x. “spud_gun888” responded by moved all in and “Kannwas” called off with second pair. “spud_gun888” then revealed 6x10x for two pair and the win.

“Kannwas” once again had to settle second place, this time for $129,600, while “spud_gun888” claimed the title and $186,300 first-place prize.
