The Festival Online Series Wraps Awarding Nearly $1.1 Million in Prize Money!

The PokerListings Festival Online Series kicked off back on March 19 and recently wrapped on April 13. The series offered more than $1,000,000 in guaranteed prize pools but wound up awarding closer to $1.1 million in prize money. All told, more than 16,000 entrants competed in the series!

• Players from Brazil lead with six Festival Online Series titles
• German players had three.
• Players from Ukraine, Lithuania, Finland, and Malta all had two titles to their credit.
• Single titles went to Montenegro, Vietnam, Romania, Iceland, Denmark, Argentina, Sweden, Belarus, and Canada.

There was only one player to capture multiple titles during the series and that was Germany’s “777CCC343”.

• They topped an 85-entry field to win the $5,000 PLO Mystery Bounty Opening Event for $1,875 Sunday, March 19.
• A week later on Sunday, March 26 navigated a 246-entry field (167 unique plus 79 re-entries) to win the $11 buy-in, $3,000 Micro PLO 8-Max for $672.60.

Here’s a look at some of the other big winners from the Festival Online Series.

Latvia’s latvianhero1 Wins $200,000 Main Event

From April 6-10, Day 1 flights were held for the $215 buy-in, $200K GTD multi-flight Main Event. The tournament wound up drawing 863 players who rebought 129 times. The surviving players from all flights returned on April 10 for Day 2 action, at which point the $200,000 prize pool was reserved for the top 96 finishers.

Among those to cash but fall short of the final table were the following players:

• “sumpfin” (10^th place for $2,300)
• “Perrymejsen” (13^th place for $1,760)
• “LarsTheGreat” (18^th place for $1,380)
• “BehindSpace” (26^th place for $840)
• “Inflaatio” (43^rd place for $800)
• 888poker Ambassador Vivian “Vivi.888.” Saliba (50^th place for $780)
• “alexos888” (58^th place for $780
• “NuttedOn875” (78^th place for $740)
• “pactomah23” (89^th place for $740)

At the live-streamed final table, Lithuania’s “Artur1965”exited in third place for $13,460. A week earlier, they finished as runner-up in the $100K Festival Online Sunday Big Shot 109 for $12,743. So, that left Latvia’s “latvianhero1” to battle Romania’s “Getoverhere” in heads-up play.

“’latvianhero1’ held a 58.3 big blind to 38.6 big blind lead over ‘Getoverhere’ going into the one-on-one battle, and it took less than ten minutes to wrap up the $200,000 guaranteed Main Event. The final hand saw latvianhero1 min-raise with pocket jacks, ‘Getoverhere’ three-bet to 6.2 big blinds with pocket tens before calling off their 19.4 big blinds they had behind.

"The five community cards double paired with queens and kings, which were no help to ‘Getoverhere’, and they busted in second place for $25,240, leaving ‘latvianhero1’ to bank $34,600 and the title of champion.”

AUTISPOSTI Beats wellyxx to Win High Roller PKO

On Sunday, April 6, the $525 buy-in, $40K GTD High Roller PKO Closing surpassed its guarantee as 72 players rebought 20 times. The resulting $46,000 prize pool was reserved for the top dozen finishers.

Among those to cash but fall short of the final table were the following players:

• “DeathByFOMO” (10^th place for $575 plus $437.50 in bounties)
• “Ydavidy77” (11^th place for $575 plus $812.50 in bounties)
• “Taddeus29” (12^th place for $575 plus $375 in bounties)

There were some familiar names at the final table including “Perrymejsen” (7^th place for $977.50 plus $500 in bounties) and “dmg34” (5^th place for $1,610 plus $1,062.50 in bounties). But ultimately, the title came down to 888poker regular’s “AUTISPOSTI” (Malta) and “wellyxx” (Finland).

Each locked up $5,370.50 in prize money by virtue of making it to heads-up play. But awaiting the winner was a hefty $6,921.87 PKO bounty.

After just over six hours of play, it was “AUTISPOSTI” coming out on top for a total payday of $12,292.37.
